Home Exercises for Common Injuries

Although there is no substitute for seeing the doctor in the office or seeing a physical therapist when appropriate, for some conditions, a home exercise program can help decrease your pain and improve your function. Dr. McCormack and Dr. Ruotolo are fellows of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). They have worked with the AAOS to develop a series of exercises that can help address common orthopedic injuries. Click the link below to view the home exercise programs for injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and back. If you experience an increase in pain, please stop the exercises and consult your physician.
